Daniel M. Kammen a Distinguished Professor of Energy at the University of California, Berkeley, where he holds appointments in the Energy and Resources Group, the Goldman School of Public Policy, and the department of Nuclear Engineering. Kammen is the founding director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory (RAEL). Kammen is also the Co-Director of the Berkeley Institute of the Environment ( http://bie.berkeley.edu ). Professor Kammen is an advisor to many of the Democratic Presidential candidates on this critically important subject of concern to all of us.

Prof Kammen is a frequent witness in front on the US Congress and US Senate and State of California legislative hearings. He worked closely on the development of both AB 1493 (30% reduction in greenhouse gases from vehicles in CA) and AB 32 (the California Global Warming Solutions Act, that calls for a 25% reduction in emissions by 2035.
