Did you know that the ceiling on the national debt was increased seven times while George W. Bush was president? 

That's right. The national debt limit was increased on June 28, 2002; May 27, 2003; November 19, 2004; March 20, 2006; September 29, 2007; July 30, 2008; and October 3, 2008.

Do you remember any outrage at the time? Despite the fact these increases were necessary so soon after the squandering of $5.6 trillion in projected surpluses?

Why this is such an issue today when it didn't matter before January 20, 2009? One wonders what changed that day…
