The Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center is presenting a presentation by leading environmentalist Bill McKibben at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, at the Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek.

McKibben's presentation, Global and Local: Building a Movement to Solve the Climate Crisis, will feature a discussion about the international grassroots effort to challenge the power of the fossil fuel industry and show how local action fits into this planetary challenge.

McKibben is the author of a dozen books about the environment. His latest book, EAARTH, will be for sale at the event.

Tickets are $15.00 for general public, $12.00 for peace center members, MDUUC and Friendly Favors Members, and $5.00 for students. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Tickets are available for purchase at Brown Paper Tickets.
