The Lamorinda Democratic Club's Thursday, June 14, meeting will feature a review and discussion about the June California primary elections with Contra Costa Times Political Editor Lisa Vorderbrueggen.

Contra Costa and California voters will be going to the polls in June for elections to local offices and determine which candidates will make the June runoff for Statewide and Congressional elections. What is the impact of the County Supervisor election in our area? How did the new top-two primary rules and redistricting impact the state's political picture? What did we learn and how might the results impact the November general election?

The club's meeting will be held at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd, in Lafayette. The club's social hour will begin at 7:00 p.m., with a business meeting to begin no earlier than 7:15 p.m. and no later than 7:30 p.m. depending on the length of the agenda. There is a $5 charge at the door to help the club cover meeting expenses.
