The LDC Precinct Organizing Project is about grassroots organizing, connecting, and mobilizing.
We are a team, together reaching thousands of Contra Costa County Democratic voters each election cycle to engage, inform, and help elect competent, dedicated, and effective Democratic representatives and leaders to every spot on the ballot.
Unique, Effective, Local, Grassroots Organizing in Contra Costa County
The LDC “POP” (Precinct Organizing Project) is unique in its established and growing network of Precinct Organizers who connect with their Democratic neighbors each election cycle to identify all the precinct-specific Democratic candidates on their ballot, provide helpful precinct-specific information, and turn out the vote.
In the 2022 General Election, LDC Precinct Organizers reached more than 20,000 registered Democrats and Contra Costa precincts covered by LDC Precinct Organizers saw an average of 76.6% turn-out in registered Democrats! That is 16.1% higher than the Democratic voter turn-out for the county and 19.2% higher than the registered voter turn-out for the state of California.
Now it’s time to get ready for 2024!
All fundraiser proceeds will go directly to support the work of LDC Precinct Organizers.

2023 Pickleball Fundraiser

JUNE 2023 Dinks & Dems Pickleball Fundraiser for the LDC Precinct Organizing Project
What happens when dozens of enthusiastic Democratic pickleball junkies and newbies turn out on a balmy June evening at the Lafayette Community Center “Rink” to raise funds needed to expand the LDC Precinct Organizing Project? They have fun, and get the job done! Thank you LDC members and friends, city council members from Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Concord, and everyone who supported the effort as a sponsor, tournament player, cheerleader, or pickleball clinic participant. Also, massive thanks to the pickleball pros who donated their time to teach, and spread the joy of learning a new game.
We far surpassed our Precinct Organizing Project fund-raising goal and had such a good time, that there may be more LDC pickleball events in the future!
Congratulations to gold medal winners Bruce Fireman and Joe Farrell who had never even met before playing in the tournament together!
